Coverage by Service
Every Homze job has two layers of coverage: our 12-month limited installation warranty on the work, and the manufacturer’s warranty on the materials. If a problem caused by our work shows up in those 12 months, we fix it at no cost to you. Homze’s warranty applies to the original homeowner and is non-transferable unless your contract specifies otherwise. Your warranty documents give the full terms for your project.
Roofing & Gutters
50-year GAF limited warranty
12-month limited installation warranty
Every Homze roof comes with a GAF limited warranty with 50 years of non-prorated protection. Silver Pledge™ and Golden Pledge® upgrades add 10 or 25 years of workmanship coverage, under GAF’s terms. Gutters carry their manufacturer’s warranty.
Siding
30-year James Hardie® limited warranty
12-month limited installation warranty
James Hardie® backs the siding we install with a 30-year non-prorated limited warranty, and its ColorPlus® factory finishes with a 15-year limited warranty.
Windows
Alside Lifetime Limited Warranty
12-month limited installation warranty
Alside windows installed through Homze come with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Alside’s factory-trained installers install the windows, and Homze manages your project.
Flooring
Manufacturer warranty on materials
12-month limited installation warranty
Mohawk and Shaw flooring carries its manufacturer’s warranty. Our installation warranty also covers flooring you bought elsewhere.
Exterior Painting
Manufacturer warranty on paint
12-month limited installation warranty
Sherwin-Williams paint carries its manufacturer’s warranty. Our installation warranty covers our prep and painting work. If something isn’t right with your paint job, tell your project manager and Homze will work with you to make it right.
Manufacturer Warranties
Manufacturer warranties on materials, such as GAF roofing, James Hardie siding, Alside windows, Mohawk and Shaw flooring, and Sherwin-Williams paint, apply under each manufacturer’s own terms. If a product problem comes up, we help you with the manufacturer’s claim process. For flooring you supply yourself, the warranty from its manufacturer or seller applies to the material.
What Isn’t Covered
- Normal wear and tear, including natural fading of paint
- Accidental damage or misuse
- Problems caused by poor or missing maintenance
- Damage from storms, severe weather, falling trees or other events outside our control (check your manufacturer warranty and homeowner’s insurance)
- Damage or changes made by other people, such as other contractors’ later work
- Water damage to flooring
- Problems caused by conditions that existed before our work, such as hidden rot or damaged surfaces under paint
